By accessing or using Quillstone's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

2. Description of Service

Quillstone provides an API-based brand compliance platform that analyzes content for adherence to user-defined brand guidelines using a hybrid validation engine (regex, RAG, and LLM).

3. Account Registration

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

API usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier:

• Pebble (Free): 10 requests/day
• Keystone: 1,000 requests/day
• Citadel: 10,000 requests/day

Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary API access suspension. We reserve the right to modify rate limits with 30 days notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Resell or redistribute API access without authorization

6. Billing and Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• No refunds for partial months
• Failed payments may result in service suspension
• You can cancel your subscription at any time

7. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. To request a refund, contact support@quillstone.dev within 30 days of your initial purchase.

8. Data Ownership

You retain all rights to content you submit to our API. We do not claim ownership of your content. However, you grant us a license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing our services.

9. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. Critical maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quillstone shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or errors
• Third-party content or actions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination:

• Your API access will be revoked immediately
• You will lose access to your account and data
• Outstanding fees remain due

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through our service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
